Next IT Destination
Indore, January 11 (HS): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Indore will be the next destination of IT in the country. Cleanliness and a better working environment have been established as a brand. Easy procedures for industry and investment, cooperative and encouraging behaviour and better connectivity and adequate infrastructure make the state suitable for investment in all sectors.
Chief Minister Chouhan said these things in a one-to-one discussion with industrialists and investors before the Global Investors Summit on Wednesday. The Chief Minister was met by Punit Dalmiya of Dalmia Bharat Group, Nadir Godrej of Godrej Industries, Pranav Adani of Adani Agro Oil & Gas, Noel Tata of Tata International, Sanjeev Puri of ITC Group, Rekha Menon of Accenture and Nikhil R of Reliance Industries. Meswani at the Brilliant Convention Centre. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Manish Singh were present.

In discussion with the Chief Minister, Puneet Dalmia of Dalmia Bharat Group proposed to set up a state cement plant and encourage tree plantation on the wasteland of the state to develop a healthy carbon cycle. Chief Minister Chouhan said that such innovations in investment are welcome in the state.
In a meeting with the Chief Minister, Nadir Godrej of Godrej Industries expressed his desire to invest in the real estate sector given the increasing urbanisation in the state. I also informed them about the plan to set up the agrochemical industry. Godrej said his group is expanding its Malanpur unit. In addition, the group will increase activities in the health sector under CSR. Giving information about the possibilities in the field of tourism, the Chief Minister said that due to the continuous increase in the state’s per capita income, economic activities are increasing.
Noel Tata of Tata International said that his group will expand its activities in the state. The group will also increase the number of its retail outlet Judio in the state. The Chief Minister told the need to increase the export activities of the group from the state.
Rekha Menon of Accenture appreciated the IT policy of Madhya Pradesh and said that this policy is beneficial and friendly for the IT industry. Indore has a suitable working environment. Therefore, Indore is continuously becoming the centre of IT professionals. Accenture started operations in Indore only six months ago, where 1,400 people are working. The group will expand its activities in the state.
