Bhopal, 10 January (HS): union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that India has progressed at a very rapid pace after the year 1990, and production is being done as per global standards. In the next 25 years of Amrit Kaal, non-resident Indians should actively contribute in progress focused on Four-I’s – Infra-Structure, Investment, Innovations and Inclusive, she said.
Sitharaman made the call while presiding over the session ?Harnessing the Potential of Women Diaspora Entrepreneurs towards an Inclusive Approach to Nation Building? on the third day of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Sammelan on Tuesday. She said that the NRIs are the brand ambassador of Indian culture and are actively contributing in taking India to a higher level.
Reiterating the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sitharaman said that each and every district of the country is rich in one or the other special product.

Sitharaman said that today the proof of India’s increasing self-reliance is that every car has one or the other part made in India. Fighter jets, Airbus, aircraft are being made in India; thousands of engineers are building semi-conductor designs; 14 out of 15 diamonds in the world are being cut in India, she added.
India has become a leader in chip designing, 58 companies of India are leading in the industry of the world. India with Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam believes in One Earth, One Family, One Future, said Sitharaman.
She said that India has become the knowledge hub of the world. IT companies are also providing employment outside India, 1.6 million jobs have been given with salary at an average rate of $106 in America, she informed.
Sitharaman said that after the US, the maximum number of medicines are manufactured in India. About 80 per cent of the medicines are being manufactured in India, she continued. Not only this, every year two million people from many countries come to India for treatment, India has been recognised as information technology and medical, knowledge hub.
The Finance Minister said that the Mudra Yojana launched by the Prime Minister is a boon for small businessmen. With this, they get relief from the clutches of middlemen and they do not have to give any guarantee in the bank.
