PM Modi Unveils World’s Longest Twin-Lane Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar/Delhi, 9 March (H.S): Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant contribution towards the development of the Northeast region by inaugurating the Sela Tunnel, the world’s longest twin-lane tunnel, in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

The tunnel, situated at an altitude of 13,000 feet, is strategically important as it will provide all-weather connectivity to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. PM Modi, in his speech at the inauguration, highlighted the importance of this project and said that it is a part of his promise of ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ which aims to bring development and progress to every corner of the country. He also mentioned how the entire Northeast region has witnessed tremendous growth and development under his government’s leadership.

PM Modi further emphasized that he had laid the foundation of the Sela Tunnel in 2019 and seeing it come to fruition is a proud moment for him. This new tunnel will not only improve connectivity but also boost tourism and trade in the region, bringing new opportunities for the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The inauguration of this tunnel is a testament to PM Modi’s commitment towards the development of the country and his vision for a prosperous and thriving nation.
