Goa: PM Modi Launches ONGC Sea Survival Centre and Unveils India Energy Week 2024!

Delhi, 6 February (H.S): On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ONGC Sea Survival Centre at Betul village in South Goa and unveiled the India Energy Week 2024. He also laid the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 1,330 crores in the Viksit Goa 2047 programme. The ONGC Sea Survival Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that will train 10,000-15,000 personnel annually and elevate India’s sea survival training to global standards.

The India Energy Week aims to achieve self-reliance in energy requirements and is set to be the country’s largest and only comprehensive energy exhibition and conference. In his address, the prime minister invited global players to invest in India’s energy sector, with plans to increase refining capacity from 254 MMTPA to 450 MMTPA by 2030. He also highlighted the country’s unprecedented investment in the sector and projected a doubling of primary energy demand by 2045.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri praised PM Modi’s leadership and stated that India is becoming a growth and demand center for the global economy and energy market. The India Energy Week has become a prominent event on the global energy calendar in just two years.
