Kota, 12 Nov (HS): Four members of a Madhya Pradesh family were killed in the early hours of Sunday after their automobile collided with a truck on National Highway 52 in Rajasthan’s Bundi district, according to police. According to them, the incident occurred at the Hindoli police station area when the victims were on their way to Pushkar.

Devi Singh (50), his wife Maankhor Kanwar (45), his brother Rajaram (40), and nephew Jitendra (20) were all recognized as inhabitants of Gangukhedi village in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar-Malwa district. Manoj Sikarwal, Circle Inspector at Hindoli police station, said the accident happened at 12.30 a.m. when the SUV carrying the four individuals collided into a heavy-duty vehicle from behind near Hindoli town.

He believes the SUV was fast and that the truck ahead suddenly engaged its brakes, leading the SUV to slam into it. Three individuals died on the scene, and the lady died from her injuries while being treated at a hospital on Sunday morning, according to the official.

The truck driver fled the scene, leaving his vehicle behind, according to Sikarwal, who added that attempts were ongoing to apprehend him. The victims have been taken to a morgue, and post-mortem exams will be performed later in the day, police added.
