Dehradun, 7 February (H.S) : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recently conducted raids at residences related to former Uttarakhand minister Harak Singh Rawat in Dehradun. These raids were also carried out at several other locations, including Delhi and Chandigarh, as part of an investigation into an alleged forest scam case linked to the former minister.
The ED’s actions come as a major development in the ongoing probe, adding to the troubles of Rawat who has been embroiled in controversies in the past. The agency is likely looking into financial irregularities and money laundering charges against Rawat, who has previously held important portfolios in the Uttarakhand government.
These raids serve as a reminder that no one is above the law and those involved in corrupt activities will be held accountable, no matter how high their position may be.
