Pakistan: PTI to protest rigging in elections from March 2

Islamabad, 28 Feb (HS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will launch agitation against the alleged rigging of elections from March 2. The decision was taken under the instructions of the party founder Imran Khan, who is in Adiala jail. PTI workers will take to the streets as a part of their agitation.

PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat announced the plan to stage agitation, the newspaper Dawn has reported. Many other leaders were present during Marwat?s press conference in Islamabad. PTI-supported candidates lost the elections in Balochistan under pressure. The victory turned into defeat overnight allegedly due to rigging. Imran Khan has appealed to the party workers to stage demonstrations across the nation. Democracy in Pakistan will not survive unless a voice against the ?Mega poll theft? is raised.

Ali Mohammad Khan alleged large-scale manipulation in the elections in Balochistan. PTI is not against any political party, but the people?s mandate must be respected. Salar Khan Kakar also levelled charges of rigging in poll results. PML-N candidate who was at number 8 was fraudulently declared victorious.
