G-7 nations resolve for free, open Indo-Pacific region

Tokyo, 19 April (HS): Foreign Ministers of G-7 nations reiterated the importance of a free and open Indo-Pacific region. The group of seven – Japan, the US, England, Germany, France, Italy, and Canada also reaffirmed their commitment to promote cooperation with India.

The three-day meeting in Karuizawa, Nagano in Japan concluded with the members resolving to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific region, prosperous, secure, inclusive, law-based rule for protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity.
