In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, extreme weather conditions, encompassing heavy rainfall and snowfall, have resulted in the deaths of 27 individuals, among them 18 children, while injuring at least 38 others, including 20 children. The Regional Disaster Management Authority, as reported by Dawn, a Pakistani newspaper, confirmed these casualties. The inclement weather has severely impacted major roads, notably the one connecting Gilgit and Baltistan, leaving numerous travelers stranded. The adverse conditions have also disrupted water supplies and communications in the area. Additionally, Quetta and parts of Balochistan are experiencing intense cold, with temperatures plummeting below zero degrees Celsius.
