G20 delegates expressed willingness to invest Rs 1000 crore in various sectors in Sikkim
Gangtok, March 19 (HS): Sikkim is now on the tourism map of the world after hosting two important G20 events. In the valedictory session on Sunday Dr Chintan Vaishnav, President of Startup 20 expressed hope that the delegates will return from Sikkim with good memories and will definitely come to visit their families.
The Startup 20 organized as part of the G20 Summit in Sikkim concluded successfully today. B20 Summit and Startup 20 Sikkim Sabha were organized in Sikkim under G20. The B20 summit took place on 16 March and the Startup 20 summit on 18 and 19 March. Startup 20 Sikkim Sabha meeting was attended by 49 delegates from 15 G20 countries at Chintan Bhawan in the capital. The organization of this meeting is expected to give a boost to startups in the state.
Startup 20 President Dr Chintan Vaishnav while addressing the valedictory session today expressed hope that the delegates will return from Sikkim with good memories and will definitely come to visit their families. Sikkim has now come on the tourism map of the world.
Sikkim got the opportunity to host two important events under the G20 Summit under the chairmanship of India in the last 4 days. The theme of the B20 summit held at Chintan Bhawan in the capital Gangtok was opportunities for multilateral business partnerships in tourism, hospitality, the pharmaceutical industry and organic farming. These programs are likely to greatly benefit Sikkim in the near future.
The G20 delegates, who came to participate in the B20 summit, expressed their willingness to invest Rs 1000 crore in various sectors in Sikkim. The representatives have expressed willingness to invest in hydropower, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, education, transport, etc. 36 delegates from 24 countries participated in the B20 conference.
