Fatehabad, 19 May (HS): The campaign for Lok Sabha elections in Haryana is now in the final stages. Congress and BJP have fielded their respective big star campaigners. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot reached Fatehabad on Sunday to appeal to the people for votes in support of party candidate Kumari Selja from Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency.
Here he addressed a big public meeting in Bhuna. However, after his arrival on the stage, there was an atmosphere of chaos on the stage. When the leaders looked eager to come into the camera frame with him, Sachin Pilot pushed everyone back.
Sachin Pilot Highlights the Importance of the Upcoming Election
Addressing the public meeting, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said that this election is now going to be a decisive election. This will determine the fate of the country in the coming five years. There is BJP government in Delhi for 10 years and in Haryana also BJP is in power for 10 years.
These governments were also elected by the public, but the public had elected them after listening to the slogans of stopping inflation, unemployment, bringing back black money, but now the government seems to have failed on every front. He said that you and I are the owners of the same vote, this is the beauty of our Constitution that the value of the vote of even the biggest billionaire and the common street vendor is equal; hence recognize the value of this vote and vote in the right direction.
Congress’s Manifesto Transparency and Critique of BJP’s Policies
He said that Congress is the only party which is revealing its manifesto; BJP did not reveal its manifesto for 10 years. He said that Prime Minister Modi made black laws and then withdrew them, but did not tell why these laws were made. During the Khattar government of Haryana, whenever there was any movement, the agitators were beaten with sticks. Why does the government want to close the markets? The BJP government is handing over everything from railway lines, power houses, airports to private hands. He said BJP is trying to destroy the Constitution. It wants to weaken the Constitution which remained strong for 70 years.
But Congress promises that when the government comes to power, MSP will be implemented, middlemen will be eliminated and farmers will be given good prices for their crops. One lakh rupees will be deposited annually in the accounts of poor families of the country. During this, many Congress leaders including former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Prahlad Singh Gilankheda, Congress National Secretary Vineet Punia, former MLA Balwan Daulatpuriya, Kulbir Bainiwal, Anandveer Gilakheda were present.
