Debatably, for the first time in the history of politics, some has openly issued a Fatwa for Hindu votes, and this could be none other than Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. On one hand while Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray has tweaked his opening remarks for his speech, Raj Thackeray has gone ahead to issue a Fatwa for Hindu Votes! As he mentioned in his rally, Raj mentioned that he had to take this step as Muslims were openly being told to vote for the Congress and fatwa’s were issued indiscriminately. He was addressing the crowd present at Saras Baug for the rally of Pune’s Lok Sabha 2024 candidate Murlidhar Mohol (May 10). This is said to be encouraging enough the Hindu’s to vote for BJP and its NDA candidates. Raj, had last month, announced his and his party’s undiluted support to the BJP and NDA alliance for the Lok Sabha 2024 elections in the interest of Nation.
It is said that Raj was unhappy with several calls of Love Jihad and Vote for Congress by a few leaders of the Muslim section. Last week Maria Alam, niece of senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, had open called for ‘vote jihad’ among Muslims to defeat the BJP, and simultaneously she was booked for this statement.
While criticizing these fatwa’s from Muslim communities and mosques, he also made it clear that not all Muslims blindly follow such directives and use their brains as well, but such practice was not good for the future of any nation. He added that Muslim voters being treated like “sheep and goats”!
