New Delhi, 2 June (HS): National union of Journalists (India) has strongly criticised the Congress party for calling exit polls of various TV channels before the results of Lok Sabha elections as Modi Media Polls. Opinion polls and Exit polls of various media organizations have predicted a landslide victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bhartiya Janata Party. NUJI President Ras Bihari said that the Congress, which is facing continuous defeat in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, is getting frustrated and venting its anger on the media and scribes.

NUJI President Criticizes Congress for Media Targeting and Journalist Insults

NUJI President Ras Bihari said that the Congress is continuously targeting the media. The Congress spokespersons call those scribes who discuss the weak performance of the Congress during debates on TV channels as supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bhartiya Janata Party. He said that earlier the journalists of TV channels were boycotted by the Congress. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has insulted scribes several times by asking their caste, even during the election campaigns, in many public meetings, he has called many TV journalists ‘chamcha’, which is extremely objectionable.
