In a continued effort to combat the drug trade in the region, the Anti-Narcotic Cell of the North Goa Police recently executed consecutive raids, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals and the seizure of narcotics valued at a total of rupees 7 lakhs.

FIRST ARREST:

During the initial raid, the Anti-Narcotic Cell apprehended Dinesh, also known as Melvin Dandekar, a resident of Vale Waddo, Assagao. He was found in possession of 600 grams of charas and 2 kilograms of ganja, with a combined worth of Rs. 5 lakhs.

Consequently, he is facing charges under the Arms Act for the unlawful possession of ammunition, in addition to the narcotics-related charges. The swift and decisive action by the Anti-Narcotic Cell underscores the authorities’ commitment to combatting drug-related activities and maintaining public safety in the region.
