Mumbai, 30 November (HS): The Income Tax Department (IT) has simultaneously raided the residences and offices of 11 renowned builders in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Thursday. Nearly 200 IT officers and employees are investigating financial irregularities and tax evasion by big builders in the city.
According to the information as of around 6 a.m. on Thursday, IT department officials formed several teams and raided the builders of the city. Though police personnel were deployed in large numbers, the department kept these raids confidential. These raids could continue for the next two to three days.
