Man killed as speeding auto overturns after hitting divider in Varanasi

Varanasi, 18 Nov (HS): On Saturday, a speeding auto collided with a divider and overturned between Rajghat police booth and Bhadauchungi intersection of Adampur police station area. A passenger in the auto died in the accident. At the same time, four people including the driver were injured. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital. The deceased passenger was identified as railway employee Harendra Nath Yadav (50). The police kept the body in the mortuary house and informed the family members of the deceased about the incident. According to the local people, the high speed auto was coming to Golgada carrying passengers from the halt at around 08 in the morning. The auto driver lost control of the vehicle near Rajghat police booth. The vehicle went out of control and collided with the divider and overturned. Five people including the driver were seriously injured in the accident. The police personnel present there, with the help of local people, took all the injured to the Divisional Hospital at Kabirchaura for treatment, where a passenger Harendra Yadav died.
