Jhansi, 18 Nov (HS): On Saturday, a 45-year-old criminal carrying bounty on his head was slain in an encounter with the UP Police Special Task Force in the Mauranipur region of Jhansi district, according to the force.
Rashid Kali, who was shot, was brought to a hospital, where physicians confirmed him dead, according to the STF. Kali was arrested in Kanpur and Jhansi on allegations of murder, rioting, attempting to kill, and using lethal weapons, among other things. According to the STF, the Additional Director General of Police, Kanpur Zone, has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information leading to his arrest.
