Sahasrara Chakra (Crown)

The Crown chakra, also known as the Sahasrara chakra, is the seventh and highest chakra in the body, located at the top of the head. It is associated with spiritual connection, consciousness, and enlightenment.

The symbol of the Crown chakra:

The symbol of the Crown chakra is a lotus flower with a thousand petals, which represents the infinite nature of consciousness and the infinite potential for spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Inside the lotus flower, there is a downward-pointing triangle that represents the power of manifestation and the union of body, mind, and spirit. Above the lotus flower, there is a circle or crescent moon that represents the connection to the divine and the infinite nature of consciousness.

The colour associated with the Crown chakra is violet or white, and it is believed that chanting the mantra “om” can help to activate and balance this chakra. When the Crown chakra is in balance, we are able to connect to our higher self and experience spiritual awakening and enlightenment

Yoga poses to activate the Crown  Chakra:

Lotus Pose (Padmasana): This seated posture is a classic meditation pose that can help calm the mind and promote spiritual awareness.

Tree Pose (Vrikshasana): This standing pose helps improve balance and stability while also grounding the body and mind.

Half Lotus Pose (Ardha Padmasana): This is a variation of Lotus Pose that can be more accessible for those with tight hips. It still provides a similar grounding effect on the body and mind.
