Indian Consulate Assists in Tragic Student Drownings in Russia

What Is the Tragic Incident? ? Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University Hit by Student Drownings in Russia

New Delhi, June 7 (HS): The Ministry of External Affairs says that in the case of drowning of four Indian students in Russia, the Indian Consulate in St. Petersburg is in touch with the university and local authorities and is providing all possible assistance. Four Indian students studying at Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University located in Veliky Novgorod, Russia, died due to drowning in an unfortunate incident in the Volkhov River. The fifth Indian student was saved from drowning in the incident. He is currently undergoing treatment. The Ministry said that our Consulate in St. Petersburg is coordinating with the local authorities for the return of the mortal remains to the country. The Consulate is in touch with the families and the district administration in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
