Bombs Found in Murshidabad, Defused by Police the Next Morning
Murshidabad, 02June (HS): Bombs were recovered in the area adjacent to Panipiya Puratapada intersection under Raninagar police station in Murshidabad district on Saturday night. Police took the bombs in their possession and defused them on Sunday morning.

Daily Bomb Recoveries in Murshidabad Raise Election Security Concerns
According to police and local sources, based on secret information at around 12 o’clock in the night, the police of Raninagar police station searched behind the house of a person named Abdur Razzaq and a bag full of bombs was recovered from the grass field. However, the owner of the house said that he did not know who had placed the bomb in the darkness of the night. At night, the police cordoned off the area so that no untoward incident occurs. The bombs were defused in the morning. Notably bombs were being recovered daily in Murshidabad even before the elections. Several incidents of bombing had taken place. The administration is naturally worried due to the recovery of bombs before the counting.
