In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the significance of factual journalism, stating his government’s commitment to acknowledging legitimate news stories that genuinely reflect societal views. Speaking at a ‘Samvad’ event, he underlined the role of media, including print, electronic, and digital platforms, as pivotal in democracy and societal influence. Adityanath praised the enduring relevance of print media and the rise of digital consumption, stressing that journalism’s foundation should remain truth-based to effectively bridge the gap between the government and the populace.
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s transformation since 2017, the CM outlined the state’s journey from ‘Rising UP’ to ‘Shining UP,’ noting achievements in national security, governance, infrastructure, and social services. He contrasted the pre-2017 era of unrest with the current state of development, where technology replaces turmoil, and entrepreneurship thrives free from extortion. Adityanath boasted about Uttar Pradesh’s advancements in expressways, healthcare, education, and tourism, positioning the state as a pivotal growth engine in India’s economy.
