Indian student dies in Canada; Indian Embassy to send mortal remains home

Delhi, 16 February (H.S): A 25-year-old Hyderabad student, Shaik Muzammil Ahmed, tragically passed away in Canada while pursuing his Master’s in Computing/IT from Conestoga College. He had been residing in Balreddy Nagar Colony, Tolichowki, Hyderabad before moving to Canada in December 2022. His friends informed his parents of his sudden demise due to a cardiac arrest. At the request of his grieving parents, the Indian Embassy in Canada has taken the responsibility of arranging for the transportation of his mortal remains back to Hyderabad.

In a letter addressed to the Minister for External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, it was mentioned that Muzammil Ahmed had been suffering from a fever for a week before his untimely death. The family is anxiously awaiting the return of their beloved son and the Indian Embassy has assured cooperation in facilitating the process.
