Delhi, 14 February (H.S): On the fifth anniversary of the horrific Pulwama terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in the heinous attack. On February 14, 2019, Pakistan-linked terrorists had rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. In a retaliatory strike, the Indian Air Force had bombed suspected terrorist camps in Balakot, Pakistan. Within a year, almost all the conspirators behind the attack were eliminated. PM Modi, in his first reaction after the attack, had promised that the perpetrators would be punished and gave full freedom to the security forces to act.
On this solemn occasion, we must remember and honor the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Their service and sacrifice will always be remembered and their families will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Let us take a moment to pay homage to these heroes and stand united against terrorism.
