Telangana BJP leader Yamuna Pathak calls out Owaisi’s communal tactics

New Delhi, 9 February (HS): Telangana BJP Mahila Morcha Spokesperson Nadimpalli Yamuna Pathak has taken a strong stance against AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi and advised him from playing the communal card and instead focus on developing his constituency.

Taking on Owaisi, Yamuna says inciting communal tensions for selfish gains will only harm the communal harmony. She adds it is crucial for leaders to prioritise the well-being of their constituents over personal agendas.

With a stronghold in the Muslim-dominated constituency of Hyderabad, Owaisi’s AIMIM party has faced little competition in past elections. However, Pathak’s strong stance against communal politics shows a shift in the political landscape. With Yamuna challenging the dominance of traditional parties and advocating for the betterment of their constituents, she is a force to reckon with.

Hyderabad residents have become disillusioned with AIMIM’s lack of development in the area, and Pathak represents a viable alternative for those seeking change. As a native of the old city, she understands the struggles and issues faced by its residents and aims to bring about positive change and development. While Hyderabad’s Parliament seat is known for its Muslim population, it is important to note that it also has a significant number of residents from other communities.

Thus, this election will be crucial in determining the direction of development and representation for all communities in Hyderabad. Yamuna throwing in the Gauntlet has sparked a wave of excitement and hope among the local voters of the old city. For decades, they have been voting for the same party, expecting some change in their lives, but it has never come.

But now, with Yamuna’s entry into the race, there is a glimmer of hope that things might finally turn around. The BJP, which has never fielded a strong candidate from this seat before, has also seen a rise in its vote share in recent years. In the last two elections, their vote share has increased from 27 percent to 32.1 percent in 2019 Parliament elections. This shows a growing support for the party in the area. And with Yamuna’s candidacy, it is expected to increase even more.

On the other hand, AIMIM has been winning this seat with a significant vote share of 52.9% in 2014 and 59.3% in 2019. However, with Yamuna’s entry into the race and her strong campaign promising development and progress for all communities, AIMIM’s dominance might be challenged.

The BJP is known for its ability to identify and field new faces in recent trends in order to win elections. In the old city, they are determined to select capable candidates, and amidst this scenario, Yamuna Pathak shines as a ray of hope. She is a pro-Hindutva leader but also a compassionate activist who is widely liked for her problem-solving abilities.

Yamuna has been a staunch advocate for the rights of Muslim women, educating them about government welfare measures and fighting against their oppression, which has earned her tremendous support from the community.

Yamuna is not only a renowned socio-political activist, but also a motivational speaker, guru, psychologist, spiritualist, and entrepreneur. She has received numerous awards for her contributions, including from prestigious organisations like the United Nations and World Bank.

Her strategic contribution has been crucial for BJP in Telangana, as she has inspired and motivated women from all walks of life to join the party and actively fight against social evils and anti-women policies. Additionally, she has played a key role in setting up community toilets and providing water connections in neglected areas. With a strong background in social work, leadership, and involvement in various fields, she stands out as a beacon of hope and change in the electoral race.
