Farewell of 68 members from RS, PM calls Dr. Manmohan an inspiration

Delhi, 8 February (HS). Rajya Sabha on Thursday bid farewell to 68 members of the House who retired between February and May on the completion of their tenure. In the Rajya Sabha, many members, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wished him well in his farewell message.

The Prime Minister said that he will continue to work in the service of the nation in the future. These members are leaving behind a legacy of memory while leaving.During this, the Prime Minister appreciated the contribution of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He said that he had come to vote for the opposition even on a wheel chair. They knew that their side would lose, but still, their vote strengthened democracy. His six-time contribution to the Rajya Sabha teaches a lot.

The Prime Minister also expressed sarcasm during this period. He said that in the last 10 years, the country has touched new heights of prosperity. A grand and divine atmosphere has been created, and today an attempt has been made to blacken it so that it does not get affected. He said, ?I thank Kharge Ji a lot for that, too. I also welcome that, because whenever a good thing happens, it is very important to wear a black mark so that it does not get Noticed.” The tenure of many leaders, including Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, is about to end.
