Mumbai, 29 January (H.S): In a scathing criticism, Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana has slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for returning to the NDA fold.
The editorial points out that just months ago, Kumar had taken the initiative to unite all anti-BJP forces and even called for a meeting in Patna where he spoke about the need to protect democracy from the BJP’s dictatorship.
However, his dramatic volte-face has now exposed his true intentions and he has switched sides to form a new government with the BJP. The editorial also highlights the formation of the ‘INDIA’ bloc, a group of opposition parties led by Kumar, which aims to prevent the NDA from winning a third term in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
This sudden change in Kumar’s stance has been met with disappointment and betrayal, as he was once seen as a strong leader who would fight against the BJP and safeguard democracy.
