Imphal, 07 December (HS): Manipur Police detained 347 persons in connection with violations in Imphal West, Thoubal, Imphal East and Kakching districts of the state. Movement of 378 vehicles on NH-37 and 285 vehicles on NH-2 with essential commodities has been ensured.
Tight security measures have been put in place at all sensitive places to ensure free and secure movement of vehicles and security forces have been deployed extensively in sensitive areas. As many as 141 checkpoints and check-posts have been set up in different districts of Manipur, both in the hills and the valley, police said.
