Islamabad/ Beijing/ Port Moresby, 28 Nov (HS):- Pakistan, China, and New Guinea were struck by earthquakes on Tuesday early morning. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said that the northern part of Papua New Guinea was hit by a powerful earthquake of 6.6 magnitude.
The epicentre of the earthquake was 20 Km in the Pacific Ocean. Tremors were felt in Vewak city in Sepik Province.
Tremors of 5.0 magnitude were felt in Jijang city of China, and Pakistan received an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude.
Damage of any kind has not been reported so far.
