Ballia, 28 Nov (HS): According to authorities, a 13-year-old girl was abducted by a man from a hamlet in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district and carried to Hyderabad, where she was raped for over a week. According to authorities, the girl was rescued on November 25 from a location under the Maniyar police station in Ballia, and the man (19) was detained on November 27 from the nearby bus station. According to police, the man used to live in the girl’s neighborhood. He was sentenced to prison, they claimed.
According to Maniyar Station House Officer (SHO) Mantosh Singh, she was kidnapped on November 18 and a case was lodged under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) based on a complaint from her father.
According to the SHO, the girl stated in her statement that the man kidnapped her, transported her to Hyderabad, and raped her for over a week. Following the girl’s statement, the case was amended to include sections 376 (rape) of the IPC as well as pertinent provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
