India’s robust economic growth is a “bright” spot,” says the IMF

Washington, 12 April (HS): Anne-Marie Gulde-Wolf, Deputy Director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said on Tuesday that the Indian economy is doing well. It remains one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.

Our latest estimate is that India’s growth rate in the financial year 2023-24 will be 5.9 percent. This is slightly less than our previous estimate of 6.1.
