New Delhi, May 22 (HS): Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal has alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party is now engaged in tarnishing her image but she is “fighting for self-respect and will continue to fight” till she gets justice. Aam Aadmi Party is continuously targeting Swati in the case of assault and misbehavior at Delhi Chief Minister’s Arvind Kejriwal’s residence by his PA Bibhav Kumar.
On Wednesday, Maliwal said that a ‘big’ leader of the party has called her and told her how the AAP leaders are being asked to leak photos, hold press conferences, tweet and conduct fake sting operations against her. She warned, “You raise an army of thousands, I will face it alone because the truth is with me. I have started the fight for my self-respect, I will keep fighting till I get justice. I am completely alone in this fight, but I won’t give up.”
Swati accused Delhi Minister Atishi Marlena of character assassination. She said that Atishi Marlena has no resentment towards the party leaders. The accused PA and his boss, are very powerful. Even the ‘biggest’ leader is afraid of him. No one had the courage to take a stand against him. It felt sad that Delhi’s Women Minister (Atishi) was laughingly and smilingly hijacking the character of an old female party colleague, Maliwal said.
